GREAT DAY TO BE A BLAZER! Beat Nuggets in OT 107-106

Today, we all evidenced the Roy that we have known for the past 2 years.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 points and 14 rebounds, Brandon Roy hit the tying 3-pointer with 5.8 seconds left in regulation, and the short-handed Portland Trail Blazers beat the Denver Nuggets 107-106 in overtime on Friday night.

Roy added 18 points in just his second game since coming back from arthroscopic surgery on both knees. He was supposed to be limited to 15 minutes but played 25, as new acquisition Gerald Wallace was not yet available.

I watched this game on ESPN, and by the end of the 3rd, I thought the game was over. The Blazers weren't hitting shots and the Nuggets just kept getting to the line. I actually never expected Gallinari to play that well.

But I kept watching. That's what makes Portland fans different to any other fan. I remember myself watching games to the very end when the Blazers are down by 20. And today, it paid off, as the last 2 minutes of the 4th were amazing. When down by 6, Roy hit a three pointer off Miller's dish with 30 seconds. After one free throw made by Afflalo, Rudy his another clutch three from the corner with 10 seconds left. Gallinari then missed one and made one free throw, giving the Blazers a chance to tie the game.

Then we saw the shot that Roy had made a countless amount of times. With 5 seconds left. Roy shot a 27 footer over Felton and tied the game. The OT was full of exhilaration, and it was the Portland defense that won the game.

The Blazers are now 6th in the Western Conference. Their next game is against the Atlanta Hawks, and hopefully Camby and Wallace will step on the court. The next few games are very winnable ones, so hopefully the Ripcity squad will take control and make the playoffs

GO BLAZERS and WELCOME BACK B-ROY!!!!
